The 2014 RHL Weston Beach Race kicked into life with the first of two days of racing here in North Somerset. Thousands of fans flocked to the seaside town to witness one of the best performances ever in the history of the event. Carl Bunce was crowned quad champion, Carl produced an amazing display of four wheel speed and lapped the entire field including multi-time winner Paul Winrow and French ace Jeremie SOYEZ.
Carl Bunce: “Yeah brilliant result today, I’ve been runner-up to Paul Winrow in two championships this year, I couldn’t let him beat me here. I’m not sure if he had problems or anything, I just got my head down and pushed on hard for the first hour and 50 minutes, I did a pit stop and took it steady really, I had a few moments but all good.”
