“No matter what kind of ATV you ride or UTV you drive, the tires you choose to install under them can make a huge difference in how they handle. Lately there have been a few big developments in tire technology that are really catching on in the world of off-road. We contacted each of the top tire manufacturers to see which tires are performing well for them, everywhere from the dealership to the dirt.
DWT has one of the largest tire selections in the business for both ATVs and UTVs. Among all tires offered, DWT has a couple of the strongest in their run-flat line. For sport quads, the XCV3 tire has held up to the rigors of Baja racing with winning results. The XCV3, comes as a 23-inch front or 22-inch rear 12-ply tires and will never leave you stranded. The tire comes with DWT’s yellow-label, hard-compound rubber that wears extremely slow too. Prices start at $110.
For larger utility ATVs and UTVs, the Moapa run-flat gives that same 12-ply rating and run-flat abilities. This tire basically removes the need for a spare tire or even a plug kit. The tread is predictable enough for racing applications, and a big size range is available for most machines. Those sizes start at 25×8-12 and reach 28×12-14. Prices start at $155.”
