The 2017 season kicked off in Parker AZ. Best in the desert partnered with GMZ to create the UTV Winter Nationals. The format was short course racing in the morning and desert racing in the afternoon. This was a not a points race so we used it for a shake down.
RZR 170: Jake had a solid run. There was a lot of rain leading up to the race so dust was not an issue. His Carr One built RZR continues to perform and run in the lead pack. Jake finished with a solid 2nd place finish.
Jacob Peter battles till the end at Primm MUD Fest.
Jacob took a 2nd overall in his Carr One Fabrication Polaris RZR 170.
The weather heading into looked less than ideal. The largest storm in years arrived in Primm the same day we did. Bone chilling wind and pounding rain blanketed the desert.
Practice was canceled due to poor conditions. Race day was much of the same weather. This race was more about driving smart and avoiding carnage. In the Polaris RZR 170 Jacob battled up to the front and held on for a solid 2nd place finish.
The Carr One RZR 570 is a beast on the track. Jacob was running with the lead pack. The track conditions were miserable and Jacob used 20 tear offs before the half way point of the race. At one he forced to pit and have his crew clean his visor so he could finish the last lap. He crossed the line in 6th place and finished the weekend 4th overall.
Thanks to all the sponsors that helped me this year.
